New Engine Specs

The midrange trims of the 2019 Fusion ditch the 2.5-liter four-cylinder in favor of a turbocharged 1.5-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder, which was previously available in 2018 for an extra $400. Despite its smaller displacement, the 1.5-liter option churns out 181 horsepower — a slight increase over the 175 horses doled out by the 2.5-liter offering.

Fuel economy also increases thanks to the 1.5-liter option. The 2.5-liter dished out 32 mpg on the highway and 21 mpg in the city, but the 1.5-liter gets an impressive 34 mpg on the highway and 23 mpg in the city.
