Riverside favorites

Do you want to grab a coffee to go, sit back and relax with friends over a cup, or maybe discover the best espresso? Here are some favorite places to get coffee, in and around Riverside, CA.

Back to the Grind

Community, local art; this is the place to go to hear a local band, listen to a poetry reading, or just chill out and soak up the laid-back atmosphere. Back to The Grind offer some enticing options, like ‘Red Eye’, White Chocolate Mocha, Back to the Grind (their house blend), and Brewed Coffee of the Day. Located on University Ave.

Arcade Coffee Roasters Tasting Room

This Coffee Roaster on Chicago Avenue has a tasting room for relaxing on cozy sofas while you explore the caffeine options. Easy online ordering is available for pick up. Try the Winter Espresso to keep you warm, their Latte with House-made Syrup, or even the Coffee Mocktail; a cold brew with syrup, bitters and garnish.

Flo’s Farmhouse Cafe

For a place with a reputation for good coffee alongside your casual meal, in a friendly cafe loved by plenty of regular customers, head over to Flo’s on Van Buren Boulevard. The menu includes burgers, pancakes, omelets – and the biscuits and gravy are good too. Flo’s is open for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, and for take-out.

Coffee Court Bistro

If you are on 10th Street, you’ll find the Coffee Court Bistro, which has been serving coffee in Riverside since 2003. With their ‘Espresso Long Shot’ a specialty, you might also try the ‘Hammer Head’ or the ‘Bullet Proof’ coffee made with coconut oil. The Bistro also serves sandwiches, burgers and wraps, salads and quesadillas, and pick-up is available.

Kraemer’s Koffee Bistro

On Brockton Ave, family-owned Kraemer’s, they say, have been “Caffeinating Our Friends Since ’92”. Sounds serious! What Kraemer’s are perhaps most well known for, and proud of is their talent with flavored lattes. The list of choices is long, but consider trying the Kona Mocha, Lavender, Heath, or the Chocolate Peanut Butter.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Riverside Plaza

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf chain of coffee shops is well known, and you will find Riverside’s three shops on Central Ave, University Ave, and Mission Inn Ave respectively. The Central Ave coffee shop is open from 5 am every weekday – perfect for the caffeine-loving early riser!

In Riverside, you can find familiar coffee places, such as the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and traditional and homely establishments like Flo’s and Kraemer’s. There are more bohemian venues like Back to the Grind, and shops for the caffeine-adventurist and connoisseur, like the Coffee Court and Arcade Coffee Roasters. They all add to the wealth of options for coffee lovers in the area.

Last, of all, we should mention that each of these places does, of course, offer great alternatives to coffee. For some, coffee is the oil in their engine. For your car requirements though, call Fritts Ford today!
