This warranty coverage is good for 5 years, or 60,000 miles, whichever of the two your vehicle hits first.

Corrosion Warranty

Anyone who has ever driven in winter (especially in climates where icy conditions necessitate the use of road salt) knows that it doesn’t take long for rust to get a foothold in your vehicle and that it’s tough to beat once it does. Luckily, the warranty on new Fords covers any perforation caused by the rust in any of the body panels of your car, and this coverage lasts for 5 years, with unlimited mileage.

Alongside all these features, a warranty on a new Ford vehicle also includes a few additional protection packages, depending on the vehicle you own. Diesel engines are protected for 5 years or 100,000 miles, and hybrid or electric vehicles have their unique engine components covered under a warranty of up to 8 years or 80,000 miles. Emissions systems components (like your catalytic converter) are covered under warranty for up to 8 years or 80,000 miles.
