Meet the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport

The 2022 Ford Bronco Sport wandered into the wilderness across the U.S. earlier this year. The Sport’s skyrocketing popularity resulted in such success that Ford has stopped retail orders for the 2022 model year and availability is only found at select dealers. Wondering what the fuss is about? You’ll understand once we’ve introduced you to the Sport.

The “Need to Know” of the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport

Released for the first time in 2021, the Bronco Sport gives other compact SUVs a run for their money as part of Ford’s all-new Bronco family. A crossover created for the urban wanderer, the newest Bronco Sport comes in four trims: Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks, and Badlands. The Base model includes a wide array of impressive standard features including 4×4 capability, four G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) Modes, and a H.O.S.S. (High-speed Offroad Suspension System) Suspension to make your offroad adventures more comfortable.

The Bronco Sport can seat up to five, and thanks to the safari-style roof, backseat passengers have a bit more headroom to work with.  When the second row is folded flat, cargo space in the Sport increases to 65.2 cubic feet, and the flip-up rear glass provides easy access to your gear and a way to transport longer equipment like paddles.

Features that Set the Sport Apart

The Sport is built with safety in mind, boasting front, rear, side, and knee airbags, compared to many crossovers that are equipped with just two of the four. It also comes standard with Ford Co-Pilot 360 technology which provides features like Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, BLIS (Blindspot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert, and Automatic High-Beam Headlamps in addition to the typical rear camera and lane assist technologies found in most cars today.

The small things aren’t lost on this compact SUV, right down to the bottler opener built into the hatch. Friends and family get a bit of extra leg room with the Sport beating out competitors like Toyota’s 4Runner and Kia’s Seltos by almost 3 inches.  The MPG on the Sport is listed as 25 city and 28 highway, higher than most of its competitors.

Extras To Tailor the Sport to You

The Sport has a variety of extras that make it easy to tailor the vehicle to you. From the MOLLE straps that are standard on the Big Bend to the All-Terrain tires, metal bash plates, and two additional G.O.A.T. modes on the Badlands, there’s a model to fit almost anyone. We’d be remiss if we didn’t touch on the Cargo Management System package which you can reconfigure to meet the needs of every one of your trips.
