2. University of California Riverside Botanic Gardens

Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center is a fun, educational attraction located less than 10 miles from Riverside in Jurupa, California. This attraction boasts nine acres of beautifully landscaped grounds with a botanical garden where you’ll find beautiful plants and flowers and 10 larger-than-life dinosaur statues that drive kids wild. Visit the live animal collection where you can get up close and personal with animals like goldfish, turtles, and many others.

4. Fairmount Park

Home to dozens of geese and peaceful backdrops from the nearby mountains, Fairmount Park is the perfect location to relax, unwind and enjoy nature as intended. Kids can get wet on the SplashPad or play and enjoy fun in the sun at one of the two playground areas designed for different age groups. Children with special needs are not forgotten at this park thanks to the sensory play area.

5. Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Park

Outdoor enthusiasts love visiting Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Park and its many trails. It seems there is a new trail or new discovery every time you visit. All of the trails at the park are simple enough for kids. You can walk the paths or ride your mountain bike, but bring plenty of water and sunscreen, and cover your head with a hat since it gets pretty hot at the park.
